Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

an Italian theologian, was born at Milan. He was a Capuchin friar, and became one of the most able canonists of his time. He, was. appointed, in: 1564, general of his order. He took a distinguished part in the Council. of Trent in 1542.
