an English prelate of the 15th century, was educated at Gray's Inn, London, quitted the study of law to accept the chancellor's place in St. Paul's, and took orders. He was soon consecrated bishop of Lichfield, and six years after was translated to York. He expended much in enlarging his archiepiscopal palace in York.
