a Methodist Episcopal minister, was born in Rutherford County, N. C., April 22, 1814. He was trained in the Presbyterian Church; was converted when nine years old; united with the Methodist Episcopal Church at fourteen; went to Alabama in 1833, was received into the Alabama Conference in 1839, and died at Marianna, West Fla., Sept. 4, 1843.
