Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

(Heb. Bakbukyah', בִּקְבֻּקְיָה, prob. wasting of Jehovah; Sept. Βακβακίας, βοκχείας, but other copies omit), a Levits, "second among his brethren," who dwelt at Jerusalem on the return from Babylon (Nehemiah 11:17; Nehemiah 12:9; Nehemiah 12:25, where the identity is proved by the associated names). B.C. post 536.
