Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

(the soul), in Egyptian mythology, was one of the five component parts of the human being. (See KAH, KHA, KHABA), etc. It was represented as. a human-headed bird, often with a cross in its claws.
