Atla
Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature
in Norse mythology, was a giant maiden who, with her eight sisters, sleeping on the sea-coast, was surprised by Odin. By him the sisters became the joint mother of the god Heimdal.
