a Lutheran theologian of Germany, was born March 5, 1792, at Kiel. He studied at Gottingen; in 1819 was pastor at Windbergen, in- Holstein; in 1824 deacon at Flensburg, and in 1829 pastor primarius there; in 1850 was appointed provost at Flensburg, where he died, Sept.. 1, 1856.
