(Heb. Artsa', אִרְצָא, an Aramaean form, the earth; Sept. ᾿Ωρσά v. r. Ἀρσᾶ ), a steward over the house of Elah, king of Israel, in whose house at Tirzah, Zimri, the captain of the half of the chariots, conspired against Elah, and killed him during a drinking debauch (1 Kings 16:9), B.C. 926.
