a Methodist Episcopal minister, was born and reared in Iredell County, N. C., date unknown. He experienced conversion when about twenty, soon began to exhort and in 1807 entered the Virginia Conference, wherein he labored with zeal and fidelity until sickness, in 1815, obliged him to retire.
