Henry I of Castile

1911 Encyclopedia Britannica

I. (1214-1217), king of Castile, son of Alphonso VIII. of Castile, and his wife Eleanor, daughter of Henry II. of England (after whom he was named), and his wife Eleanor of Aquitaine. He was born about 1207 and died, while still a boy, by the fall of a tile from a roof.
