(superl.) Gay; merry; festal.

(n.) A feast or festival; - called also gaud-day and gaudy day.

(superl.) Ostentatiously fine; showy; gay, but tawdry or meretricious.

(n.) One of the large beads in the rosary at which the paternoster is recited.
