Man (Second)

Wilson's Dictionary of Bible Types

1 Corinthians 15:47 CHRIST JESUS is called the second man because He began a new race of heavenly people. He was the first one of that marvelous family called the "Church," or the "Body," or the "Kingdom," or the "Family" of GOD. All those who belong to CHRIST JESUS have come to Him for the beginning of a new life, and have received that new life, are like Him in some respects and will eventually be fully conformed to His image. Each of these men, Adam the first, and JESUS the second, began a new race of people. The first one is earthly in character, and the second is heavenly in character.
