Vine's Expository Dictionary of NT Words
(Eng., "crypt"), "a covered way or vault" (akin to kruptos, "hidden, secret"), is used in Luke 11:33 , of lighting a lamp and putting it "in a cellar," RV. See PLACE , Note (8).
