Gid'del. (very great).

1. Children of Giddel were among the Nethinim, who returned from the captivity with Zerubbabel. Ezra 2:47; Nehemiah 7:49.

2. Bene-Giddel, (that is, sons of Giddel), were also among the "servants of Solomon," who returned to Judea in the main caravan. Ezra 2:56; Nehemiah 7:58. (B.C. 536).
