Maktesh
Smith's Bible Dictionary
Mak'tesh. (a mortar or deep hollow). A place, evidently in Jerusalem, the inhabitants of which are denounced by Zephaniah. Zephaniah 1:11. Ewald conjectures that it was the "Phoenician quarter" of the city.
