Tishbah
People's Dictionary of the Bible
Tishbah (tĭsk'bah). The birthplace of Elijah, 1 Kings 17:1, who is therefore called the Tishbite, probably identical with el-Istib, or Listib, 22 miles in an air-line south of the Sea of Galilee, and ten miles east of the Jordan.
