People's Dictionary of the Bible

Raamah (râ'a-mah), trembling. A commercial country which traded with Tyre. Ezekiel 27:22. It furnished spices, gems, and gold, and was probably named after a son of Cush, whose descendants are believed to have settled upon the southwestern shore of the Persian Gulf.
