Tewkesbury, Alan of
1910 New Catholic Dictionary
(died 1202) English Benedictine abbot and writer. A supporter of Saint Thomas Becket in his struggle with Henry II, he was removed from Canterbury to Tewkesbury. He wrote the life of Saint Thomas.
