Spiritual Relationship
1910 New Catholic Dictionary
A diriment impediment to matrimony. It results from sponsorship at Baptism, or from being the minister of a private Baptism. The marriage of a sponsor to his or her godchild, or the marriage of a person who has administered private Baptism to the one baptized, is invalid unless by dispensation.
