Our Lord's own name for Himself as Son of God (John 3,35; 5,22). God the Son is the second Person of the Blessed Trinity. He is the only begotten and eternal Son of the Father. He is consubstantial with the Father, His Perfect Image, Word, and Wisdom, the personal expression of the infinite thought of the Father.
