Sacred Heart of Jesus, Feast of the
1910 New Catholic Dictionary
Friday after the Octave of Corpus Christi, symbolizing the love of Christ for all mankind. It was established by Pope Clement XIII in 1765, and extended to the universal Church by Pope Pius I in 1856.
