1910 New Catholic Dictionary
Born c.950;died 1022. Monk of Saint Gall. Translated several works from Latin into German (a thing till then unheard of), including Vergil's "Bucolica," and Aristotle's "De categoriis". Wrote treatises in German on music and rhetoric.
