Established as the prefecture apostolic of Kroonstad, Orange Free State, Union of South Africa on November 26, 1923; entrusted to the German Missionaries of the Fathers of the Holy Spirit. Elevated to the Vicariate Apostolic of Kroonstad on April 8, 1935. Elevated to the diocese of Kroonstad on January 11, 1951. See also:
