Karl Bischof
1910 New Catholic Dictionary
Geologist. Born 1792; died 1870. Made notable contributions to speculative geology by his work on the role of water in geological processes. Wrote a famous work on the heat in the interior of the earth, and on mineral springs, and was instrumental in having the well at Bad Neuehaler drilled.
