Intention, Purity of
1910 New Catholic Dictionary
The perfection of motive inspiring human action. In actions that are merely natural, purity of intention is had when the motive coincides with the objective nature of the action done, e.g., to eat for the purpose of conserving and building up the body; an intention is pure in the supernatural order when the action is done for the love of God.
