1910 New Catholic Dictionary

A branch of the Third Order Regular of Saint Francis, founded in the United States in 1899 by Paul James Francis, a clergyman of the Episcopal Church. They originated the Church Unity Octave in 1908, and in 1909 were received corporately into the Catholic Church. Among the society's activities are the Union that Nothing be Lost, which dispenses large sums to the missions, and The Lamp, a monthly publication. The headquarters and novitiate (Saint John's Atonement College) are at Graymoor, New York. There is a foundation at Hereford, Texas
