Actions, as distinct from thoughts, words, or intentions. We speak of a sin of thought, a sin of intention, and a sin of deed, or actual outward commission. Evil deeds are distinct from evil words or thoughts. Christ condemned not only bad outward actions, but also the will or intention to do such deeds.
