Anastasius the Fuller, Saint
1910 New Catholic Dictionary
Martyr (c.304), born Aquileia, Italy. He followed the fuller's trade at Salona, Dalmatia. Under Diocletian he was arrested and thrown into the sea because he painted a conspicuous cross on his door. His body was brought to Salona, where a church was built in his honor. In the 7th century his relics were transferred to Spalato. Patron of fullers and weavers. Feast, August 26,.
