Adoration of the Magi
1910 New Catholic Dictionary
The worship by the wise men from the East of the Divinity of the Infant Jesus, a favorite subject of the masters. Among the many who have painted this subject are: Fra Angelico, Botticelli, Del Sarto, Durer, Ghirlandajo, Lippi, and Memling. The adoration of the Magi is commemorated in the feast of the Epiphany.
