Morrish Bible Dictionary
Much in the tabernacle was to be made of beaten work, Exodus 25:18,31,36 , in contrast to 'molten,' as idols were often made. The cherubim and the mercy-seat were to be beaten out of one piece, Exodus 37:7 : the candlestick also was beaten work of pure gold. Exodus 37:17,22
