HUN'GRY, a. Having a keen appetite feeling pain or uneasiness from want of food. Eat only when you are hungry.
1. Having an eager desire.
2. Lean emaciated, as if reduced by hunger.
Cassius has a lean and hungry look.
3. Not rich or fertile poor barren requiring substances to enrich itself as a hungry soil a hungry gravel.
