Hastings' Dictionary of the Bible
PEKOD. Probably the Bab. [Note: Babylonian.] Pukûdu , a people settled in Lower Babylonia, possibly of Aramæan race ( Ezekiel 23:23 , Jeremiah 50:21 ). Their seat was near the mouth of the Uknu River.
