Hastings' Dictionary of the Bible
JEHOZABAD. 1. One of the servants of king Joash who conspired against his master and joined in his assassination ( 2 Kings 12:21 = 2 Chronicles 24:26 ). 2. A Benjamite chief ( 2 Chronicles 17:18 ). 3. A Levitical family ( 1 Chronicles 26:4 ). A shortened form of the name is Jozabad (wh. see).
