Ziz
Holman Bible Dictionary
(zihz) Place name meaning, “blossom.” Site involved in Judah's battle plans with Ammon and Moab (2 Chronicles 20:16 ). A pass through a steep place where the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir were going to enter Judah to attack King Jehoshaphat. It is often located at wadi Hasasa, southeast of Tekoa near the Dead Sea. The Lord won this battle for His people without their fighting (see 2 Chronicles 20:22-30 ), causing surrounding nations to fear God.
