Philologus
Holman Bible Dictionary
(fi lah' loh guhss) Personal name meaning, “lover of words,” either in the sense of “talkative” or of “lover of learning.” Member, perhaps the head, of a Roman house church whom Paul greeted (Romans 16:15 ). Philologus was perhaps the husband of Julia and father of Nereus and Olympas.
