Mustard
Holman Bible Dictionary
A large annual plant which grows quite fast. Its seeds were once thought to be the smallest in the plant world. Jesus used the mustard plant in a parable to symbolize the rapid growth of the kingdom of God (Matthew 13:31-32 ), and its seed as a simile for faith (Matthew 17:20 ). See Plants.
