Holman Bible Dictionary
(may' sshal) 1. City in the tribal territory of Asher later assigned to the Levites (1 Chronicles 6:74 ). At Joshua 19:26; Joshua 21:30 the name appears as Misheal (KJV) or Mishal (modern translations). 2. Technical Hebrew term for proverb, parable, simile. See Proverbs, Wisdom.
