Jorah
Holman Bible Dictionary
(joh' ruh) Personal name meaning, “early or autumn rain.” Group leader of Babylonian exiles returning to Jerusalem with Zerubbabel about 537 B.C. (Ezra 2:18 ). The parallel list (Nehemiah 7:24 ) has Hariph instead of Jorah (compare Nehemiah 10:19 ). Many interpreters believe Hariph to be the original reading, though it is difficult to explain the change. See Hariph .
