Holman Bible Dictionary
(jeh hoh' vuh-sshah luhm) Place name meaning, “Yahweh is peace.” Name Gideon gave to the altar he built at Ophrah (Judges 6:24 ). Modern versions translate the name, while KJV transliterated it. See Jehovah .
