The peculiarity of Peter's speech that showed he was from Galilee. The peculiarity of speech made the servant girl suspect that Peter was a follower of Jesus from Nazareth in Galilee (Matthew 26:73; compare Judges 12:5-6 , where a person's speech betrayed his place of origin; see Shibboleth ).
