Holman Bible Dictionary
(ehz' rah) Modern translation spelling of Ezra in 1 Chronicles 4:17 to reflect different final letter in Hebrew spelling. This Ezra is a descendant of Judah of which nothing else is known. The spelling of his name may be a Hebrew form, whereas the more common spelling is Aramaic. See Ezra.
