Holman Bible Dictionary
(Duh day) Personal name related to Hebrew word meaning, “favorite” or “beloved.” 1 Chronicles 27:1-15 describes David's army as being divided into twelve monthly divisions with an officer over each. Dodai was in charge for the second month. See Ahohite . 2 Samuel 23:9 and 1 Chronicles 11:12 refer to Dodo the Ahohite, which is probably a variant spelling referring to the same person as Dodai.
