Cuckow
Holman Bible Dictionary
KJV translation for an unclean bird (Leviticus 11:16; Deuteronomy 14:15 ); also spelled cuckoo. Since the bird in question is grouped with carrion-eating or predatory birds, the cuckoo would seem to be eliminated since it only eats insects. Modern versions read “sea gull.”
