Bracelet
Holman Bible Dictionary
An ornamental band of metal or glass worn around the wrist (as distinct from an armlet worn around the upper arm). Bracelets were common in the Ancient Near East and were worn by both women and men. They were made mostly of bronze, though examples of iron, silver, glass, and, rarely, gold bracelets have been found. The bracelets mentioned in the Bible were usually of gold (Genesis 24:22 ,Genesis 24:22,24:30 ,Genesis 24:30,24:47; Numbers 31:50; Isaiah 3:19; Ezekiel 16:11; Ezekiel 23:42 ). KJV, TEV and NAS translation for armlet in 2 Samuel 1:10 . See Armlet .
