Holman Bible Dictionary
(behth-sshih' tah) Place name meaning, “house of Accacia.” Battle scene when Gideon and his 300 men defeated the Midianites (Judges 7:22 ). It may be modern tell es-Saidiya or tell umm Hamad. It may be east of the Jordan River.
