Beth-Le-Aphrah
Holman Bible Dictionary
(behth-leh-awf' rah) Place name meaning, “place of dust.” Town Micah used in a wordplay to announce judgment on Judah. The house of dust would roll in dust, a ritual expressing grief and mourning (Micah 1:10 ). The location is uncertain, perhaps et-Taijibe between beit Gibrin and Hebron. KJV reads, “house of Aphrah”; NIV, “Beth Ophrah.”
