Holman Bible Dictionary
(baz' lihth) Personal name meaning, “in the shadow” or “onions.” Original ancestor of clan of Temple employees who returned from Exile in Babylon with Zerubbabel in 537 B.C. (Nehemiah 7:54 ). Name is spelled Bazluth in Ezra 2:52 , which NIV reads in Nehemiah 7:54 .
