(bahr tih mawee' uhss) or BARTIMEUS (KJV) Blind beggar on highway near Jericho who asked Jesus for mercy despite crowd's efforts to silence him. Jesus said his faith had made him whole. Able to see, Bartimaeus followed Jesus (Mark 10:46-52 ).
