Baalath-Beer
Holman Bible Dictionary
(bay' uh lath-bee' uhr) Place name meaning, “the baal of the well” or the “lady of the well.” A city in the tribal allotment of Simeon (Joshua 19:8 ), identified with Ramath of the south (KJV) or Ramah of the Negev (NAS, NIV, NRSV). It may be identical with Baal (1 Chronicles 4:33 ) and/or with Bealoth (Joshua 15:24 ).
