Oshea
Fausset's Bible Dictionary
Joshua's original name (Numbers 13:8). (See JOSHUA.) His faith, in contrast to the unbelieving spies, procured for him the addition of Jehovah's name to his own (Numbers 14:6-10; Deuteronomy 32:44), "Jah his salvation."
